About Us

Introducing Dr. Roohi Banu, an accomplished IITian and holder of a PhD from the UK, recognized as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). With over 15 years of rich industry experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. My professional journey has seen me thrive in esteemed organizations such as MBDA in the Defence Sector (UK), Airbus (UK), and Motorola (India).

My academic background includes rigorous studies in electronics engineering at prestigious institutes such as IIT Chennai and the Surrey Space Centre at the University of Surrey (UK). Throughout my career, I've demonstrated a relentless pursuit of excellence, presenting and publishing my work in renowned conferences and journals worldwide, including JPL (NASA), ESA, IET, and IEEE.

As a dedicated parent to two young children, I am deeply passionate about fostering a love for STEM education and empowering next generation STEM leaders. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, I aim to provide a systematic introduction to STEM subjects, leveraging my extensive industry experience to shape the minds of future innovators and leaders.

Meet Mr. Fakruddin Mohammed, his academic journey traverses disciplines, from electrical and electronics engineering at IIT Kharagpur to financial mathematics at the University of Reading, culminating in advanced studies in AI at Harvard Extension School. His diverse educational background reflects his relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation, positioning him as a leading authority in the intersection of finance, technology, and academia.

Drawing from his extensive tenure at renowned investment banks including JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, UBS, and HSBC, Mr. Mohammed possesses a unique insight into the ever-evolving landscape of finance and technology. He leverages this wealth of experience to bridge the gap between conventional school curricula and the multifaceted expectations of universities worldwide.

Beyond his personal achievements, Mr. Mohammed's impact extends to mentoring numerous students, guiding them to success in national and international robotic competitions and facilitating the publication of their work in esteemed conferences and journals. Through his unwavering dedication and mentorship, Mr. Mohammed empowers the next generation of innovators and scholars to realize their full potential and shape the future of technology and finance.

Our Vision, Story and Success

Inspired by a passion to equip our daughters and future generations for success in an increasingly digital landscape, we embarked on a mission to bridge educational divides. Identifying persistent gaps in the high school curriculum, we established ZAS Coding and Robotics Academy. Our goal is to empower students with the essential knowledge and skills required to thrive in the 21st century.

At ZAS, we envision a future where every student is empowered to tackle the complexities of technology. Our mission is to address the gaps in current education by providing an inclusive coding and robotics programs. Beyond technical proficiency, we foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and system design skills essential for navigating tomorrow's challenges.

At ZAS Academy for Coding and Robotics, our carefully crafted curriculum has propelled students to remarkable heights, garnering four prestigious international awards from institutions like The New York Academy of Sciences and The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences. Our students' accolades extend to international conferences and journals, showcasing their exceptional abilities. With admissions to esteemed universities such as the University of Massachusetts, Santa Clara University California, University of Toronto and Georgia Institute of Technology, among others, our students demonstrate academic excellence and readiness for higher education. Moreover, our academy cultivates a culture of excellence, as evidenced by our students' consistent triumphs in science hackathons, coding challenges, and robotics competitions." .

As devoted parents deeply invested in both our roles as engineers and advocates for our daughters' education, we've tirelessly sought to provide them with a robust foundation in STEM subjects, focusing particularly on cutting-edge disciplines such as coding, robotics, and AI. However, as they transitioned into secondary school, it became apparent that there existed a substantial gap between what the current educational system offers and what universities increasingly demand.

Out of this concern and determination to bridge this gap, the ZAS Academy was born. Starting humbly in our own garage, our aim was initially to equip our daughters with the necessary skills. Yet, as the effectiveness of our approach became evident, the demand for our unique teaching methods grew organically. Through word of mouth, our classes began attracting not only our daughters' classmates but also students from across the globe, spanning continents like India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Switzerland, and Canada.

Our journey with ZAS Academy is driven by a genuine desire to empower students with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape.
